Roxy Memorial Fund
The Roxy Memorial Fund began in April 2011. After losing Roxy to cancer, her loving owner wanted to find a way to help other pets in need of physical rehab. His way of helping others and keeping Roxy's memory alive was by making the first donation into what we now call the "Roxy Memorial Fund". Roxy was referred to us by Dr. Lipsitz at Veterinary Specialty Hospital and Keith Weingardt at the Animal Healing Center. Roxy was diagnosed with a spinal tumor which ultimately caused her to lose the use of her hind limbs. Roxy's owner did all he could to keep her legs functioning as long as possible. Roxy came to us for a dog cart, hydrotherapy and massage. Roxy loved the water so the underwater treadmill not only kept up her strength, but also was a fun treat for her! Thank you Roxy's owner for making your donations in Roxy's name to help all of those in need of physical rehabilitation. We greatly appreciate your care. Thanks to the Roxy Memorial Fund, Nicky (AKA Nicholas) has been given hydrotherapy sessions to help re-educate and strengthen his hind limbs after a traumatic spinal injury.
