Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a great way to begin a rehabilitation session for those pets that are anxious, tense or overly excited for their visit. Massage not only relaxes the patient, but relaxes their muscles and warms them up before the rehab session. Massage therapy alleviates pain and muscle spasms, improves flexibility, increases circulation and lymphatic drainage, and decreases stiffness. Pets that may benefit from massage therapy include geriatric pets, arthritic pets, agility and sporting dogs, and pets recovering from surgery. At PAWsitive Rehabilitation we will add massage therapy into the session as a warm up, cool down, or to improve flexibility and decrease pain.
